- My coffee’s cooling and my toast is dry
The day comes on, I don’t know why
I see your ice blue eyes, cool, serene
I don’t know what to say, Josephine.
2. My youth is now a myth to me
I gaze at you in reverie
Was there ever a time when your eyes were green
And we could have been together, Josephine?
Bridge:
You look so fine in that photograph
And I feel so sad that it makes me laugh
You wear that black bikini with casual grace
An impassive look upon your face…
3. I’ll be on my way like there’s a way to go
Your blue eyes follow me with an unearthly glow
I’ll see you again in some magazine
We’ll be together again, Josephine.
(So this morning at breakfast, I open my Sports Illustrated Day calendar and the lovely Josephine Skyriver is glaring at me like I just tugged on her black bikini. And this song came to me. I guess I was surprised that a supermodel would have a name like “Josephine” and I couldn’t pass it up.)
Now I know why your heroine (Minverva James) is a woman.

Minerva is a woman because she didn’t want to be a stinky man. Not sure why my sad love song to an inaccessible supermodel told you this, but ok.
